Job Description
**Job Title** Portfolio Strategy and Operations Intern **Role Summary** Support Tide Rock's management of lower‑middle market portfolio companies by conducting research, data analysis, and integration work. Gain exposure to M&A processes, portfolio operations, and value‑creation initiatives across multiple functional areas. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑quality research and analytical outputs within strict timelines. - Proactively identify data gaps, propose solutions, and present findings to cross‑functional teams. - Exhibit ownership of tasks and adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. **Key Responsibilities** - Rotate through Integrations, FP&A, Value Creation, Diligence, Corporate Development, and Playbook functions. - Conduct industry and target company research, including secondary and primary source data gathering. - Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of portfolio companies’ financials, operations, marketing, and sales. - Support post‑transaction integration projects and growth initiatives. - Assist in qualifying businesses for divestiture posture, ownership structure, and growth strategy. - Develop and maintain the value‑creation playbook, including process design and performance tracking. - Create concise written materials for internal and external stakeholders. **Required Skills** - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with proficiency in Excel and data visualization. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and take ownership of deliverables. - Comfortable handling ambiguity and working in a high‑accountability setting. **Required Education & Certifications** - Currently enrolled as an active undergraduate, graduate, or MBA student at an accredited university (or a recent graduate). - Relevant coursework in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or related fields.
