Job Description
Job title: Intern – Software Engineer Role Summary: Software Engineering Internship within a Design Engineering division, focused on creating customer‑centric software that supports product development and manufacturing processes in an electronics environment. Expectations: Self‑motivated engineering student undertaking a summer internship (May/June – August 2026). Full‑time on‑site work, collaboration across hardware, mechanical, PCB design, and testing teams, adherence to project plans, and regular status reporting. Key Responsibilities: - Design and document software for customer products and related applications, meeting both customer and internal manufacturing requirements. - Provide assistance to hardware, mechanical, PCB design, functional test, and in‑circuit test teams for product, test, and tooling development. - Perform basic evaluation of software code quality against verification plans. - Create basic documentation related to software design projects. - Contact and collaborate with hardware, software, and equipment vendors. - Follow project plan and report status to leadership. Required Skills: - Strong foundational knowledge of software development and design principles. - Ability to create clear software design documentation. - Basic experience with code quality evaluation and verification processes. - Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams and vendors. - Self‑driven, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Required Education & Certifications: - Current enrollment in a 4‑year degree program in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
