Job Description

**Job Title:** Project Engineer (Mechanical) **Role Summary:** Lead mechanical engineering activities for complex projects, ensuring design, fabrication, and on‑site installation align with client specifications, safety standards, and project schedules. Report to the Project Manager and coordinate with construction, QA, and multidisciplinary teams. **Expactations:** - Minimum 7 years of mechanical engineering experience. - Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, piping isometrics, and P&IDs. - Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills. - Commitment to safety, quality, and adherence to company policies. **Key Responsibilities:** - Understand and execute the full scope of work for mechanical projects. - Support Area Engineers with technical queries and field issue resolution. - Coordinate with the Construction Manager to monitor and align construction schedules. - Prioritize off‑site pipe and support fabrication to meet on‑site timelines. - Facilitate on‑site coordination between mechanical and other disciplines. - Produce weekly progress and variation reports for client and internal teams. - Track scope of work and identify potential out‑of‑scope items. - Ensure timely ordering of MSL‑supplied equipment. - Liaise with consultants, PSCS, CMT, and contractors on‑site. - Align project activities with off‑site fabrication team. - Participate in weekly progress meetings and conduct safety audits. - Collaborate with QA Lead to ensure piping systems are handed over on schedule. **Required Skills:** - Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems, piping design, isometrics, and P&IDs. - Proficient in project scheduling and coordination. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Effective written and verbal communication. - Ability to produce accurate technical and progress reports. - Familiarity with safety and quality management procedures. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent). - Relevant professional engineering registration or license (preferred). - Certifications in safety, quality, or project management are advantageous.
