**Job Title**
Cloud Infrastructure Architect
**Role Summary**
Lead end‑to‑end Azure cloud architecture, migration, and modernization for enterprise clients. Design scalable, secure, and highly available solutions using industry best practices (CAF, WAF), IaC (Bicep, Terraform), and automated pipelines (Azure DevOps). Facilitate workshops, estimate workloads, and deliver technical documentation.
**Expectations**
- Complete AZ‑104, AZ‑305, AZ‑700 certifications within 12 weeks of hire.
- Remote position with up to 10 % domestic travel.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Analyze existing on‑prem, AWS, and GCP environments with tools like Azure Migrate, RVTools, AzGovViz.
- Develop and present workshops and solution‑design sessions to educate stakeholders.
- Prioritize, estimate, and drive migration and modernization projects.
- Apply CAF and WAF frameworks to ensure alignment with Microsoft best practices.
- Build and maintain IaC using Bicep/Terraform and automate deployments via Azure DevOps YAML pipelines.
- Execute lift‑and‑shift migrations using Azure Migrate, Site Recovery, Data Migration Service, Azure VMware Solution.
- Replatform workloads to cloud‑native services (app, data, container).
- Design and troubleshoot enterprise‑scale networking, routing, and hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute, VPN, load balancing).
- Communicate requirements and timelines to internal teams and external clients.
- Produce detailed architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
**Required Skills**
- 5–7 years Azure infrastructure deployment, networking, and IaC (Bicep, Terraform) or scripting (PowerShell, Bash).
- 5–7 years Systems Administration: Windows Server, Linux, database administration (SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- 3+ years Network Administration: firewall, routing, switching, ExpressRoute, VPN, load balancers.
- Strong knowledge of HA and DR principles.
- Experience supporting production workloads and troubleshooting.
- Proven consultative/engineering experience across multiple client environments.
- Familiarity with modernization, refactoring, and enterprise application deployment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Software Engineering, IT (preferred, not mandatory).
- Mandatory Azure certifications: AZ‑104 (Azure Administrator), AZ‑305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert), AZ‑700 (Azure Network Engineer Associate).
