Job Description
Job Title: Interior Facility Cleaning Agent Role Summary: Provide comprehensive cleaning, sanitation, and preventive maintenance of common areas, resident rooms, and office spaces in a healthcare and social services environment, ensuring compliance with hygiene standards and facility protocols. Expectations: Adhere to established cleaning schedules, maintain equipment and supplies, report anomalies, and demonstrate discretion, confidentiality, and a professional demeanor when interacting with residents, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities: - Perform routine cleaning of shared and resident spaces according to procedures. - Clean floors, work surfaces, glass, and other surfaces in offices, meeting rooms, and other education or care areas. - Empty and replace waste receptacles daily, restocking sanitary supplies. - Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning chemicals and equipment, using them safely. - Identify and report damages, environmental hazards, or operational issues. - Assist in cleaning duties in multiple units such as child protection (MECS), adult disability (PAD), or other specialized settings. - Support the facility’s quality and compliance objectives under the guidance of the department director. Required Skills: - Strong knowledge of hygiene and cleaning techniques. - Excellent time‑management, initiative, and ability to work independently. - Confidentiality, discretion, and sensitivity toward residents’ privacy. - Good written and verbal communication; ability to listen and collaborate with staff. - Physical stamina for manual tasks and ability to lift moderate loads. - Basic computer literacy for reporting incidents. Required Education & Certifications: - Secondary school diploma (high school equivalence) or higher. - Relevant training or certification in hygiene, cleaning, or facility maintenance preferred (e.g., HGV hygienist, sanitation technician).
