Job Description
Job Title: DevOps Engineer Role Summary: Lead the establishment and execution of a unified DevOps strategy, focusing on CI/CD pipeline modernization, infrastructure observability, and pre‑production environment parity. Expectations: • Design and implement scalable, version‑controlled CI/CD workflows across Azure DevOps and Git. • Champion monitoring and telemetry to meet DORA metrics for Continuous Delivery and Availability. • Collaborate cross‑functionally with development, QA, and IT to eliminate bottlenecks and improve deployment velocity. • Influence long‑term platform architecture and partner with stakeholders to define best practices. Key Responsibilities: • Transition existing CI/CD from UI-based to YAML code‑first pipelines. • Configure and maintain infrastructure observability; collect and analyze telemetry via DataDog and other monitoring tools. • Automate environment provisioning and testing to ensure pre‑production parity with production. • Manage and tune IIS, Windows Server, F5 BIG‑IP, and SQL Server environments. • Develop scripts and automation in PowerShell, Bash, and PowerShell Core for infrastructure and deployment tasks. • Monitor and optimize application performance using .NET/C#, APM, and logs. • Drive adoption of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and configuration-as-code (CaC) practices. Required Skills: • Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, Boards) • YAML, Git, CI/CD concepts • PowerShell, Bash, Windows CLI • IIS, Windows Server 2019+, F5 BIG‑IP, SQL Server 2019+ • DataDog (APM, Logs, Metrics, Dashboards) • CloudFlare configuration • DORA metrics awareness • .NET/C# application deployment experience • Strong scripting and automation skills • Collaborative communication and stakeholder management Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) • Relevant certifications preferred: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent; certifications in networking or security are a plus.
