Job Description
Job Title: Finance & Operations Manager Role Summary: Own and streamline the end‑to‑end financial, payroll, compliance, contract, and operational processes of a high‑growth SaaS ticketing company, ensuring accuracy, predictability, and scalability without executive intervention. Expectations: Deliver reliable, auditable operations, maintain cash flow health, manage risk, and enable seamless onboarding for customers, partners, and employees; serve as the single point of contact for finance, HR, IT, and vendor functions; provide clear, data‑driven updates to leadership. Key Responsibilities: - Financial Operations: monthly customer/partner settlements, bank reconciliation, expense control, monthly close, forecasting, cash planning, tax preparation, and outsourced accounting management. - People Operations & HR: payroll, benefits administration, onboarding/offboarding, employment compliance, vendor coordination, and recruiting workflow execution. - Operational Infrastructure & Risk: IT system governance, SOC 2 compliance, security policies, customer onboarding security questionnaires, and early risk identification. - Contracts & Vendor Management: contract lifecycle, renewals, legal coordination, and operational vendor oversight. - Customer & Partner Operations: develop onboarding checklists, timelines, data asset flows, and internal handoffs. - Process Improvement & Execution Support: document and refine critical processes, support leadership during peak periods, and manage event/travel logistics. Required Skills: - Strong accounting and financial analysis (settlements, forecasting, cash management). - Proficiency in payroll systems, benefits platforms, and employment compliance. - Experience with SOC 2, security policies, and vendor risk management. - Contract negotiation and lifecycle management. - Detail‑oriented project coordination, cross‑functional communication, and data‑driven decision making. - Comfortable collaborating with founders and senior leaders; high ownership mindset. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. - CPA or CMA preferred; additional certifications in payroll, compliance, or project management advantageous.
