Job title: Vice President, Finance
Role Summary:
Senior finance leader responsible for strategic financial planning, reporting, forecasting, cash management and controls. Acts as a trusted advisor to the CEO, leading a high‑performing finance team and partnering across the organization to drive growth and operational excellence.
Expactations:
- Deliver accurate, timely financial reporting and analysis at executive and board level.
- Translate company strategy into robust financial models and operating plans.
- Own unit economics, margin improvement, and working‑capital discipline.
- Build scalable finance processes and technology infrastructure.
- Foster a culture of ownership, rigor, and continuous improvement among finance staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting cycles (daily, weekly, monthly).
- Own unit economics, performance analysis, scenario modeling, and margin optimization.
- Prepare board materials and support investor communications.
- Manage cash flow, credit lines, and bank relationships; coordinate audit, compliance, and tax work.
- Partner with marketing, product, operations, and other functions to provide clear, actionable analysis.
- Identify risks, propose solutions, and maintain strong financial controls and hygiene.
- Hire, mentor, and develop finance team members; scale capabilities with company growth.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years in finance with deep FP&A expertise across startup to high‑growth scale‑up stages.
- Expert financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Deep fluency in subscription/e‑commerce, consumer, and unit‑economic analysis.
- Strong communication, business judgment, and ability to present complex concepts to non‑finance stakeholders.
- Proven track record of driving performance improvement and operational maturity while preserving momentum.
- Experience managing and developing finance teams.
- Proven partnership skills with marketing, product, and operations.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- MBA or Master’s in Finance preferred.
- CPA, CFA, or similar professional certification is a plus.
