Job title: Product Designer
Role Summary: Own end‑to‑end design of core desktop and mobile interfaces for a B2B SaaS healthcare staffing platform, transforming complex data workflows into intuitive experiences while shaping product direction through discovery, research, and collaboration with engineering.
Expectations:
- Lead independent design projects from discovery to delivery, making decisions on user experience and visual design.
- Drive continuous learning and iteration based on user research, field observations, and post‑launch feedback.
- Elevate design quality and scalability by building and maintaining a robust design system in Figma.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own design of core product areas, including nurse scheduling, gap‑filling, and hospital capacity management.
- Create and iterate high‑fidelity wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for desktop and mobile platforms.
- Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure designs are feasible, technically sound, and implemented accurately.
- Build and maintain a scalable design system, reusable components, and design patterns.
- Conduct user research: interviews, usability tests, field observations at customer sites; synthesize findings to inform design decisions.
- Partner with nurses and clinical leaders during discovery to uncover pain points and shape product direction.
- Run post‑launch studies to identify friction, gather usage data, and iterate for clarity, adoption, and impact.
- Mentor and elevate design standards across the team, ensuring consistency and alignment with product vision.
Required Skills:
- 4+ years product design experience with complex, workflow‑heavy products (B2B SaaS preferred).
- Strong UX instincts, design thinking, and high attention to detail and visual craft.
- Expertise in Figma: designing, prototyping, implementing design systems.
- Proven ability to create and manage scalable design systems and component libraries.
- Hands‑on experience in user research methods, including in‑person field visits, usability testing, and data‑driven iteration.
- Comfortable traveling to customer sites for research and contextual inquiry.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and cross‑functional teamwork.
- Self‑directed, ownership‑oriented mindset from discovery through delivery.
- Knowledge of healthcare workflows is a plus but not required.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Interaction Design, Human–Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Preferred UX/UI certification (e.g., NN/g, HFI, or equivalent) is a plus.
