Job Description
**Job Title:** Career Coach Facilitator – Southwestern Ontario **Role Summary:** Lead and deliver career exploration sessions for Ontario Career Lab in southwestern Ontario schools. Facilitate engaging presentations, coordinate volunteers and logistics, and build relationships with educators, students, and local partners to support youth career development. **Expectations:** - 3–5 years of facilitation or program coordination experience. - Strong youth engagement and educational setting familiarity. - Capable of managing event flow, volunteer orientation, and stakeholder communication. - Proficient in digital coordination tools; comfortable with virtual and in‑person delivery. - Fluency in French an advantage; otherwise at least bilingual in English. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver opening and closing presentations, set session tone, and sustain high energy. - Lead on‑site event setup, materials handover, and technology checks. - Brief and support volunteer Career Coaches; ensure alignment with program objectives. - Coordinate schedules with teachers, accommodate accessibility needs, and manage groupings. - Build and maintain relationships with educators, students, volunteers, and community partners. - Recruit and engage local employers and industry groups for volunteer support. - Collect post‑session evaluations from students and Career Coaches; preserve data privacy. - Submit concise outcome reports; share insights for program improvement. - Propose and implement facilitation, logistics, and engagement enhancements. **Required Skills:** - Dynamic facilitation and presentation skills. - Program & event coordination. - Stakeholder communication and partnership building. - Digital tool proficiency (coordination, reporting, communication). - Bilingual communication (English mandatory; French a plus). - Problem‑solving and adaptability in diverse learning environments. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum high school diploma. - Post‑secondary education in education, communications, social sciences, or related field is an asset. - No specific certifications required, but experience in career coaching or workforce development is valuable.
