**Job Title**
Lead Technical Architect
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, evolution, and governance of the company’s technical architectures—including systems, networks, telecommunications, cloud, and retail‑specific technologies—while ensuring robustness, security, scalability, and alignment with the overall digital transformation strategy.
**Expactations**
- Own end‑to‑end architecture lifecycle: strategy, governance, planning, implementation, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with IT, business, security, and vendors to align solutions with business needs and internal standards.
- Maintain active technology watch, propose innovative solutions (cloud, automation, containerisation) suitable for the retail sector.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Define, design, and evolve system, network, telecom, cloud, and retail‑specific infrastructures.
- Lead the technical architecture roadmap and contribute to IT governance committees.
- Evaluate business needs, challenge solutions, perform impact analysis, and validate technical choices.
- Ensure security, availability, performance, and regulatory compliance in partnership with the Information Security Officer.
- Oversee planning, validation, change management, and service continuity for technical deployments.
- Monitor performance metrics, identify risks, and recommend improvement plans.
- Produce, structure, and maintain technical documentation and architecture reference models.
- Manage and mentor the architecture and engineering teams (cloud, network, solutions)—organizing, upskilling, and fostering a quality culture.
- Promote DevOps/SRE collaboration and continuous process improvement.
**Required Skills**
- Expert knowledge of systems, network, and cloud architectures (Azure, GCP, on‑prem) and price‑point retail technologies (stores, warehouses, POS, payment).
- Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, ITIL) and urbanisation models.
- Proficiency with DevOps/SRE practices, automation tools, and containerisation.
- Strong risk‑analysis, modelling, and architectural documentation skills.
- Leadership, clear communication, analytical rigor, decisiveness, result orientation, and change‑management mindset.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s (Bac+5) degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in technical architecture within complex, hybrid, network‑centric, and cybersecurity‑heavy retail environments.
- Professional certifications such as TOGAF Certified, ITIL Foundation, and/or Azure/Google Cloud Architect are preferred.
