Job Description
**Job Title** Senior Azure Administrator / Administrator **Role Summary** Lead the design, deployment, automation, and ongoing management of Microsoft Azure cloud environments. Drive CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and security governance while collaborating with development, security, and operations teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure application delivery. **Expectations** - 8–10+ years of IT infrastructure experience, 5+ years of Azure administration. - Proven track record delivering production-level Azure solutions, CI/CD, and DevOps practices. - Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, and cost‑optimization. - Ability to mentor junior staff, document processes, and communicate effectively across cross‑functional teams. **Key Responsibilities** - Architect, provision, and maintain Azure resources (VMs, VNets, Load Balancers, Storage, AKS). - Develop, version, and apply ARM templates, Terraform, or other IaC scripts for repeatable deployments. - Configure Azure Active Directory, RBAC, Conditional Access, and Identity Governance. - Manage network security (NSGs, firewalls, VPNs) and monitor network performance. - Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent. - Monitor system health with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and set up alerts. - Enforce security best practices, manage Azure Security Center, Microsoft Defender, and run regular compliance scans. - Host, scale, and monitor containerized workloads in AKS; implement container orchestration policies. - Lead incident response, troubleshoot outages, and perform root‑cause analysis. - Collaborate with development teams using Agile/Scrum practices to embed DevOps into the pipeline. - Drive cloud cost‑optimization initiatives (FinOps), including right‑sizing, reserved instance planning, and cost monitoring. - Document architecture, procedures, and runbooks; share knowledge across team. **Required Skills** - Deep expertise in Azure services (Compute, Networking, Storage, Containers, DevOps, Security). - Strong IaC proficiency (ARM, Terraform). - CI/CD pipeline design and automation. - Azure Active Directory, RBAC, Conditional Access. - Network design (VNets, VPNs, NSGs, firewalls). - Monitoring & logging (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights). - Azure Security Center, Microsoft Defender, compliance frameworks. - Containerization (Docker, AKS) and Kubernetes orchestration. - Troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and communication. - Agile/Scrum collaboration. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent. - Azure Certifications: - Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (mandatory) - Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (preferred) - Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred) - Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus. ---
