**Job Title** Project Engineer – Offshore Technical Department **Role Summary** Coordinate and oversee technical conversion, repair, and refurbishment projects for offshore vessels and onboard equipment, ensuring operational availability in line with operational specifications, schedule, and budget. Act as the liaison between fleet management, design, operations, logistics, shipyards, and subcontractors. **Expectations** - Deliver project specifications, construction plans, and related documentation. - Manage technical tasks for assigned ship(s) and equipment, from preparation through execution. - Maintain clear communication with internal departments and external partners. - Travel abroad 2‑3 weeks per project phase to supervise shipyard and supplier activities. - Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. **Key Responsibilities** - Prepare technical specifications, construction drawings, and conversion documentation. - Lead technical preparation, monitoring, and approval of repair, conversion, and refurbishment projects. - Develop and track conversion budgets; adjust forecasts as needed. - Select shipyards/subcontractors, negotiate contracts, and manage contractual relationships. - Coordinate with Operations, Design, Marine Engineering, Logistics, and external vendors to execute conversion and logistics tasks. - Conduct on‑site follow‑up at shipyards or supplier facilities during critical project phases. **Required Skills** - Strong mechanical or electromechanical engineering knowledge applied to marine installations. - Analytical mindset with problem‑solving ability in dynamic environments. - Excellent written and verbal communication in English. - Organizational and planning competence; ability to manage multiple stakeholders. - Proficient in budget preparation and cost control. - Familiarity with shipyard processes, subcontractor management, and technical procurement. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a closely related field. - Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in maintenance, marine engineering, or technical project coordination (preferred). - No specific certifications required; professional engineering license advantageous but not mandatory.
