Job Description
Job Title: Security Specialist Role Summary: Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of physical security measures for a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing facility. Direct security operations, coordinate with external vendors, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Expectations: - Oversee multiple security sites and teams without direct supervisory role. - Deliver comprehensive security plans, risk assessments, and incident reports. - Maintain budgets, contracts, and preventive maintenance schedules. - Communicate findings to management and support continuous improvement of security posture. Key Responsibilities: - Design and document blueprints for security installations (CCTV, gates, metal detectors, ACS, biometric systems). - Manage all security-related issues, including incident response and preventive maintenance. - Coordinate with external agencies and service providers; ensure regulatory compliance. - Develop and sustain a preventive maintenance program for physical security systems. - Conduct regular risk assessments and produce reports, analyses, and cost projections. - Review and process security service invoices for accuracy. - Travel to visit other sites as required to support facility security operations. Required Skills: - Strong knowledge of physical security systems, risk assessment, and preventive maintenance. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC applications. - Project management experience in security or related field. - Ability to analyze security requirements and produce actionable recommendations. - Effective communication and report‑writing skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in industrial security, cybersecurity, electronics, electrical engineering, or related field. - 2–10+ years of relevant experience in security management. - Security certifications preferred: CPP, PCI, PSP, or APP. - Valid driver’s license. - Familiarity with ISO 27001 and ISO 27002 standards is advantageous.
