**Job Title:** Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable Google Cloud infrastructures for enterprise customers. Act as a technical advisor, delivering solutions, workshops, and best‑practice guidance while ensuring alignment with business goals. Travel up to 30% for on‑site engagements.
**Expectations:**
- U.S. citizenship (required for compliance and potential classified access).
- 3+ years of experience in infrastructure automation, DevOps, CI/CD, or related roles.
- Proven ability to design and deliver cloud solutions end‑to‑end.
- Strong communication and workshop facilitation skills.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide domain expertise and solve complex cloud platform challenges.
- Collaborate with customers to design and deploy cloud architectures, including IAM, networking, security, logging, monitoring, and billing.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure provisioning, and optimize compute and cost efficiencies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; serve as a technical advisor.
- Create and deliver best‑practice recommendations, tutorials, blog posts, and sample code.
- Travel up to 30% for client meetings, technical reviews, and on-site delivery.
**Required Skills:**
- Programming: Python, Java, Go, C/C++.
- Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including GKE, IAM, networking, security, monitoring, and billing.
- Automation & IaC: Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or equivalent.
- CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cloud Build, or similar.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (GKE).
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Understanding of IT security practices: encryption, certificate/key management, and access control.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; workshop/teaching ability.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Preferred: Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Developer).
