Job Description
**Job Title** QA/QC Manager (Data Centres) **Role Summary** Leads and administers the quality assurance and quality control program for a large‑scale (£80 M) data centre construction project, ensuring compliance with construction standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements throughout all project phases. **Expectations** - Maintain 100 % compliance with the Construction Standards Authority (CSA) and other relevant codes. - Deliver QA/QC documentation on schedule and to agreed quality levels. - Proactively identify and mitigate quality risks to avoid rework and delays. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop, implement, and continuously improve the project QA/QC plan, procedures, and checklists. - Conduct regular inspections, audits, and testing of materials, workmanship, and installations. - Review and approve shop drawings, sub‑contractor submissions, and as‑built documentation. - Coordinate with design, construction, and subcontractor teams to resolve non‑conformances. - Generate daily/weekly quality reports, non‑conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action plans. - Manage QA/QC records, ensuring traceability and accessibility for all project stakeholders. - Provide training and guidance on quality standards to site personnel and subcontractors. - Liaise with client, third‑party inspectors, and regulatory bodies for inspections and approvals. **Required Skills** - In‑depth knowledge of construction quality standards, CSA regulations, and data centre build requirements. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; capability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Proficiency in QA/QC software, document control systems, and MS Office Suite. - Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple quality streams simultaneously. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. - Professional certifications such as QA/QC Manager, NEBOSH, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent preferred. - Minimum 7 years of progressive QA/QC experience on large commercial or data‑centre construction projects, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
