**Job Title:** Director of Sales & Marketing
**Role Summary:**
Senior leader responsible for driving all revenue‑generating activities (business travel, group, banquet, and leisure sales) and marketing initiatives for a 224‑room upscale lifestyle hotel. Sets strategic direction, aligns sales and marketing with brand standards, and leads a high‑performing team to achieve occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR targets.
**Expectations:**
- Achieve or exceed revenue goals across corporate, group, leisure, and banquet segments.
- Maintain profitability and forecast accuracy using Marriott reporting tools.
- Elevate brand visibility and market positioning through coordinated marketing and PR efforts.
- Build and nurture client relationships to generate repeat and new business.
- Develop and mentor sales, banquets, and event services teams to meet performance targets.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead, coach, and develop Sales, Banquets, and Event Services teams.
- Define market segmentation, account strategy, and contract approvals per brand standards.
- Design and execute proactive sales strategies for all market segments.
- Partner with Revenue Management on pricing, inventory, and distribution optimization.
- Collaborate with Marriott marketing/PR to implement campaigns, digital initiatives, and social media aligned with brand aesthetic.
- Oversee creation of sales collateral and promotional materials.
- Analyze market trends, forecasts, and performance reports (Delphi, ProfitSword, etc.) to adjust tactics.
- Coordinate with Operations to ensure flawless execution of group and banquet events.
- Represent the hotel in community and industry associations; attend local/regional events.
**Required Skills:**
- Minimum 5 years progressive hotel sales leadership, ≥2 years at Director level (upscale/lifestyle brand).
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding multi‑segment revenue targets.
- Strong analytical ability; proficiency with Marriott systems (Delphi, ProfitSword, CI/TY, MARSHA, OneSource) preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and networking skills.
- Leadership competency: team motivation, performance management, emotional intelligence.
- Knowledge of digital marketing, social media, and brand positioning in the lifestyle hotel segment.
- Ability to travel locally/regionally and work flexible schedules (including evenings/weekends).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Certified Hospitality Sales Professional – CHSP) advantageous but not mandatory.
