Job Description
**Job Title**: BI Developer (Power BI) **Role Summary**: Contract (6 months, outside IR35). Full‑stack Power BI specialist tasked with end‑to‑end BI solutions across multiple business units. Must deliver high‑quality data models, interactive dashboards, and robust ETL pipelines while interfacing with C# and AS/400 (IBM iSeries) systems. **Expectations**: - Deliver complete Power BI projects on schedule. - Design scalable data models and craft DAX measures. - Create visually compelling, user‑friendly dashboards. - Extract, import, and transform data from Excel and other sources. - Integrate with enterprise reporting environments across multiple sites. - Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable insights. **Key Responsibilities**: 1. Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports. 2. Design, implement, and document data models and DAX logic. 3. Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from Excel and other spreadsheets. 4. Interface with C# applications and AS/400 (IBM iSeries) for data integration. 5. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solutions. 6. Optimize report performance and ensure data quality. 7. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a hybrid workplace environment. **Required Skills**: - Power BI, DAX, data modelling, dashboard development. - ETL experience with Excel and other spreadsheets. - Interface knowledge of C# and AS/400 (IBM iSeries). - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Effective communication with non‑technical stakeholders. - Ability to work independently in a contract setting. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or equivalent work experience. - Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI) preferred. ---
