Job Description
**Job Title** Principal Project Manager **Role Summary** Lead and direct complex, cross‑functional projects, ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, budget and quality objectives. Drive strategic project governance, mentor teams, manage resources, and maintain compliance with security and organisational standards. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑impact projects on time and within budget. - Maintain UK Enhanced Developed Vetting (eDV) security clearance. - Provide strong leadership, effective communication, and problem‑solving across functional boundaries. - Adhere to organisational PMO frameworks and security policies. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Plan, execute, monitor and close multiple projects from inception to completion. 2. Define project scope, objectives, deliverables and stakeholder requirements. 3. Develop and maintain schedules, budgets and resource plans using MS Project, Primavera P6, Jira, Smartsheet, and other tools. 4. Lead and mentor project teams, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. 5. Conduct root‑cause analysis, identify risks and implement corrective actions. 6. Report on project performance, risks, and status to stakeholders via presentations and written reports. 7. Ensure compliance with cost control, risk management and quality assurance policies. 8. Manage project documentation in SharePoint, Confluence, Workday, ServiceNow. 9. Analyse project data with SAS or similar tools to inform decision‑making. **Required Skills** - Project Management (PRINCE2, Waterfall, SAFe, Scrum, Agile). - Risk, Cost and Resource Management. - Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Problem‑solving across functional boundaries. - Analytical thinking, data utilisation (SAS, spreadsheet, dashboards). - Proficiency with MS Project, Primavera P6, Jira, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Confluence, Workday, ServiceNow. **Required Education & Certifications** - UK Enhanced Developed Vetting (eDV) security clearance (current). - Relevant project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent). - Experience in software development teams applying Scrum/Agile methodologies. ---
