Senior Digital Workplace Engineer
**Role Summary**
Lead the strategy, ownership, and operational excellence of the organization’s core SaaS portfolio, including Google Workspace, Atlassian, Cisco Umbrella, and emerging AI productivity tools. Drive integration, automation, security, and user experience across these platforms, mentor the digital workplace team, and influence the enterprise application roadmap.
**Expectations**
- Own product vision and roadmap for critical SaaS products.
- Translate business requirements into platform features while balancing security, cost, and usability.
- Manage vendor relationships, license usage, and contractual obligations.
- Lead architectural design, integration, and automation using APIs, scripting, and low‑code tools.
- Champion best practices for platform operations, documentation, and incident management.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross‑functional teams, especially InfoSec and Platform Engineering.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Define and own SaaS product strategy, lifecycle, and service level objectives.
- Architect secure, scalable integrations with enterprise systems; implement automation and AI tools.
- Oversee configuration, governance, compliance, and security controls across all SaaS products.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and proactive problem management.
- Develop and maintain knowledge bases, runbooks, and operational documentation.
- Measure adoption, satisfaction, and value using analytics; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide expert support and triage for platform‑related incidents and service requests.
- Influence enterprise application roadmap based on stakeholder needs and emerging technologies.
**Required Skills**
- Deep expertise in administration, security, and governance of Google Workspace, Atlassian, and security/network tools (e.g., Cisco Umbrella).
- Advanced scripting (AppScript, PowerShell) and API integration experience.
- Proficiency with low‑code/no‑code platforms (AppSheet).
- Experience designing secure, scalable SaaS integrations; knowledge of zero‑trust networking and service management frameworks (ITIL/ITSM).
- Familiarity with emerging AI/ML productivity tools (Gemini, NotebookLM).
- Strong product ownership mindset, decision‑making skills, and stakeholder communication.
- Leadership and mentorship capabilities for cross‑functional platform initiatives.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant vendor certifications preferred: Google Workspace Administrator, Atlassian Administrator, ITIL Foundation.
