**Job Title:** Data Architect
**Role Summary:**
Design, implement, and govern data solutions for a defence‑critical project. Leverage Python, ML engineering, MLOps, CI/CD, and ETL expertise to build scalable, secure data pipelines and architecture, ensuring compliance with defence standards.
**Expactations:**
- Deliver robust, scalable data architecture that supports real‑time ML workflows.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and regulatory compliance throughout the data lifecycle.
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, and security teams to integrate solutions into the broader defence ecosystem.
- Maintain accurate documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Architect end‑to‑end data pipelines from ingest to analytics.
2. Develop and maintain Python‑based ETL processes and data models.
3. Implement ML and MLOps workflows, integrating model training, deployment, and monitoring.
4. Deploy CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and rollback of data services.
5. Enforce data security, privacy, and integrity controls aligned with defence regulations.
6. Troubleshoot and optimize performance of data infrastructure.
7. Produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and run‑books.
8. Stay current on emerging data technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.
**Required Skills:**
- Advanced Python programming.
- ML Engineering, MLOps, and related tooling (MLflow, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- CI/CD frameworks (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- ETL design and execution (Airflow, dbt, Informatica, etc.).
- Deep understanding of data storage & processing (SQL/NoSQL, data lakes, data warehouses).
- Strong knowledge of security, encryption, and compliance in defence context.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- DV clearance (Active).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Professional Data Engineer, Azure Data Engineer, or MLOps certification) are advantageous.
