Job Description

Job Title: Business Manager Role Summary: Own and grow a portfolio of industrial clients for a fast‑growing engineering consultancy. Drive new business development, lead cross‑functional engineering teams, and translate market intelligence into actionable commercial strategies. Expectations: - Acquire, develop and retain new B2B partnerships. - Deliver projects on time, within budget and to client satisfaction. - Meet or exceed sales and performance KPI. - Build and inspire a high‑performing engineering team aligned with client needs. Key Responsibilities: - Identify and prospect strategic industry accounts; negotiate terms and close deals. - Manage end‑to‑end account lifecycle: proposal, contract, delivery, and renewal. - Recruit, coach, and supervise consulting engineers assigned to client projects. - Track project performance, client satisfaction metrics and adjust resources accordingly. - Contribute to commercial planning: develop action plans, monitor KPI, analyze market trends. - Support the expansion of the Lyon office by hiring talent and recruiting new clients. Required Skills: - Proven B2B sales or account management experience in services or consulting (minimum 2 years). - Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. - Ability to grasp technical requirements and translate them into commercial value. - Leadership and team‑management capabilities. - Data‑driven mindset; comfortable with KPI setting and performance analysis. - Professional proficiency in English. Required Education & Certifications: - Minimum Bac+5 (equivalent) – Engineering, Business, or related field. - Relevant commercial or project‑management certifications are an advantage.
