Software Engineer – New Graduate (2026 Start)
**Role Summary**
Entry‑level software engineer tasked with designing, developing, testing, and operating features for the Databricks platform. Collaborates on backend, full‑stack, infrastructure, database, systems, and cloud teams, contributing to the platform’s reliability, scalability, and security.
**Expectations**
- Graduate in December 2025 or Spring 2026 with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Deliver code that meets production quality, security, and performance standards.
- Engage in end‑to‑end project ownership, from requirements through deployment.
- Quickly onboard and become a productive contributor on meaningful projects.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, implement, and maintain Databricks platform features.
- Write clean, test‑able, and well‑documented code in Python, Java, or C++.
- Participate in architecture discussions and propose solutions that enhance reliability, scalability, and security.
- Write unit, integration, and system tests; execute code reviews.
- Deploy and monitor services in production, responding to incidents and optimizing performance.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, data, and ops teams.
- Work with a mentor and team to accelerate learning and career growth.
**Required Skills**
- Proficiency in a general‑purpose language (Python, Java, or C++).
