**Job title**: Document Control Lead
**Role Summary**: Lead and manage document control processes for a portfolio of nuclear industry projects, ensuring full lifecycle compliance from creation to release, retention, and retrieval. Oversee a Document Control team, coordinate information flow, enforce auditability, and provide reporting to the Programme Manager.
**Expects**:
- Lead effort in developing and implementing document control policies and procedures.
- Act as primary point of contact for project documentation flow, ensuring alignment with project and regulatory requirements.
- Provide training, support, and guidance to the Document Control team.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Control all project documentation lifecycle (creation, review, approval, release, retention, retrieval).
- Maintain revision, status, and stage control of all documents.
- Ensure integrity and accuracy of electronic documentation and project document registers.
- Manage export control tracker and record activities across projects.
- Coordinate document distribution lists and monitor workflows for internal, client, sub‑contractor, and supplier documents.
- Ensure auditability of document control for internal and external documentation.
- Produce weekly reports of outstanding deliverables and progress against quality arrangements.
- Escalate concerns and liaise with clients on quality control expectations.
**Required Skills**:
- Solid knowledge of nuclear industry regulations and legislation.
- Expertise in document control procedures and best practices.
- Proficiency in setting up and managing electronic DBMS (e.g., SharePoint, Prime, SAP).
- Understanding of Design, Vendor, Construction, NEC3 data processes.
- Strong organisational, time‑management, and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent communication (written, verbal), analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Internet.
**Required Education & Certifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
- Relevant certifications in document control, project management, or nuclear safety preferred.
