**Job title:** Solution Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Drive revenue growth by partnering with sales and channel teams to understand customer needs, deliver compelling technical presentations, conduct proof‑of‑concepts, and close solutions for enterprise data platforms. Acts as the technical bridge between Snowflake’s product capabilities and business outcomes, guiding prospects from evaluation to deployment.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver clear, persuasive demos and presentations to both technical and executive audiences.
- Bring hands‑on expertise in large‑scale databases, data warehouses, ETL, analytics, data science, AI/ML, and cloud technologies.
- Write and run SQL queries and Python scripts for demos and POCs.
- Translate specific customer business problems into Snowflake solutions.
- Maintain deep knowledge of competitors, complementary vendors, and market trends.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to refine offerings and messaging.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Customer Engagement:**
- Conduct technical briefings, demos, and proof‑of‑concept projects for prospects and existing customers.
- Identify and articulate value propositions that align with customer goals.
2. **Sales Enablement:**
- Work with sales and channel partners through the entire sales cycle—from early discovery to proposal and closing.
- Develop and present solutions architecture designs and implementation roadmaps.
3. **Product & Market Insight:**
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor capabilities, and complementary solutions.
- Provide feedback to product and marketing teams on customer pain points and feature requests.
4. **Solution Design & Implementation Support:**
- Assist in the design of data pipelines, warehouse configurations, and analytics workloads.
- Enable smooth transition from PoC to production implementation with minimal friction.
5. **Thought Leadership & Collaboration:**
- Represent Snowflake in trade shows, industry events, and technical webinars.
- Collaborate with engineering to validate feature feasibility and technical requirements.
**Required Skills:**
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills for mixed audiences (executives, architects, developers).
- Proficiency in SQL and foundational Python for data manipulation and analysis.
- Hands‑on experience with large‑scale database/data warehouse solutions and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, analytics, and emerging AI/ML capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to collaborate with sales, product, engineering, and marketing teams.
- Self‑driven, adaptable, and comfortable operating in fast‑paced environments.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., data warehousing, cloud platforms, or Snowflake certification) are an advantage but not mandatory.
