ServiceNow Technical Lead
**Role Summary**
Lead the technical strategy and delivery of ServiceNow solutions within a cross‑functional product team. Drive architecture, code quality, and scalability while ensuring alignment with business outcomes and user needs.
**Expectations**
- Over 5 years as a ServiceNow developer or architect, with deep expertise in at least one core domain (CSM, HRSD, ITSM, or App Engine).
- Proven experience in an agile product environment, collaborating closely with Product Managers and Designers.
- Demonstrated ability to translate customer discovery into measurable solution outcomes (e.g., reduced support calls, higher task success rates).
- Strong leadership in mentoring engineering peers and championing a culture of learning and risk‑aware innovation.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Partner with Product Manager/Designer to own business outcomes, not just feature delivery.
2. Conduct ongoing customer discovery, converting user problems into technical options.
3. Assess feasibility and viability risks, ensuring solutions are buildable and maintainable.
4. Design scalable, secure ServiceNow implementations following architectural standards (performance, security, scalability).
5. Lead engineering best practices: CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, version control, platform maintenance.
6. Manage technical debt, prioritize upgrades, and conduct health checks.
7. Lead by example in complex coding, reviews, and integration expertise (APIs, third‑party systems).
8. Mentor engineers on product‑centric development and the “why” behind solutions.
9. Remove technical obstacles, resolve integration issues, and coordinate dependencies across teams.
10. Promote organizational principles of Trust over Control and Learning over Failure through rapid prototyping and intelligent risk‑taking.
**Required Skills**
- ServiceNow architecture & configuration (CSM, HRSD, ITSM, App Engine).
- CI/CD, automated testing, Git, platform maintenance.
- API integration and third‑party system connectivity.
- Security, performance, and scalability tuning.
- Agile (Scrum/Kanban) methodologies.
- Leadership, coaching, and cross‑functional collaboration.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on ServiceNow experience (developer/architect).
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- One or more relevant Application Specialist certifications (e.g., Certified Application Developer, ITSM Professional). The role may also consider candidates with professional services experience and end‑to‑end ServiceNow solution design capability.
