**Job Title:**
Solutions Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Provide pre‑sales technical expertise to drive customer adoption of an AI‑powered physical security platform. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior IT and security stakeholders, collaborate with sales to qualify opportunities, design and demonstrate tailored solutions, and act as the internal subject‑matter expert across product, support, and marketing teams.
**Expectations:**
- On‑site presence 5 days a week with occasional travel.
- Operate effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and account‑management skills.
- Maintain a proactive, entrepreneurial attitude and continuous learning mindset.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Advise CTOs, CISOs, IT and security engineers, and other key stakeholders on technical requirements and solution fit.
- Collaborate with sales to assess, qualify, and shape customer opportunities.
- Design and architect technical solutions that integrate video, access control, sensors, and related services.
- Lead product demos and deliver presentations for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Serve as the Verkada technical SME, interfacing with Product, Support, Marketing, and Enablement teams.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs, L2 devices.
- Proficiency with IT infrastructure, Linux operating systems, APIs, and scripting/programming (e.g., Python).
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
- Strong account management, follow‑through, and attention to detail.
- Entrepreneurial, positive attitude with a strong desire to learn.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Information & Computer Technology, Cybersecurity, Networking, IT Security, Computer Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Industry certifications are a plus: Network+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, AWS Solutions Architect, etc.
