**Job title**
2026 Internship – Continuous Improvement of Space Systems Engineering Activities (M/F)
**Role Summary**
Internship in Airbus Defence and Space’s Space Systems Chief Engineering Department. Focus on structuring engineering activities, defining and implementing strategic dashboards, and measuring performance of end‑to‑end satellite system development, validation, and verification.
**Expectations**
- 6‑month duration, starting February 2026 (flexible).
- Eligibility for security clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Exposure to satellite engineering (telecom, navigation, science, Earth observation, exploration) and associated ground systems.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Activity Structuring** – Work with Engineering Leads to identify best practices, resolve issues, organize ongoing projects, and optimize workflow processes.
2. **KPI Development & Deployment** – Define, implement, and monitor key performance indicators for project progress and team effectiveness; build tracking tools ensuring result transparency.
3. **Analysis & Recommendations** – Analyze sustainability requirements in space‑system tenders, conduct life‑cycle assessments, produce performance reports, and propose data‑driven improvements.
4. **Team Collaboration** – Contribute to steering activities and interact with senior management on current projects.
5. **Professional Growth** – Develop analytical, project‑management, engineering, quality, and communication skills under mentorship.
**Required Skills**
- Project management fundamentals: schedule, scope, cost, risk, Agile methods, and monitoring tools.
- Understanding of space systems development or related engineering background.
- Interest and ability in business‑process modeling and activity structuring.
- Analytical thinking, synthesis, autonomy, rigor, reliability, and challenge‑eagerness.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; teamwork, initiative, adaptability.
- Proficiency with G‑Suite and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Advanced English and French language skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Current pursuit of a Master’s (Bac + 5) or equivalent degree in Space Engineering, Project Management, Management, Process Quality, or related discipline.
- Security clearance eligibility required.
