Job Description
Job title: Information Security Engineer Role Summary: Provide day‑to‑day security operations, incident response, and continuous improvement of controls for a 10,000‑user enterprise, while leading practical security projects and tool deployments across Azure, Entra ID, and Windows Server. Expectations: • On‑site presence five days a week. • No tiered SOC; direct collaboration with engineering and business stakeholders. • Deliver measurable security hardening and project rollouts with clear communication and documentation. Key Responsibilities: • Own alert response, risk assessment, and issue resolution. • Harden M365, patch servers, refresh firewalls and networks. • Lead structured rollouts for Azure, Entra ID, Windows Server environments. • Collaborate with infrastructure and third‑party vendors on EDR, web filtering, and email security solutions. • Drive remediation and coordinate change management (CAB/RFC). • Maintain up‑to‑date documentation, playbooks, policies, and project summaries. • Support security awareness initiatives and promote best‑practice adoption. Required Skills: • 2–4 years IT experience with 12–18 months in security or infrastructure. • Broad technical foundation in Azure, M365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows Server, and networking fundamentals. • Hands‑on experience with EDR (CrowdStrike, Defender for Endpoint) and web/email security tools (Zscaler, Mimecast). • Proven project ownership of change rollouts, migrations, or improvements. • Strong written and verbal communication; able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
