Job Description
**Job Title:** Senior Procurement Business Partner – Corporate Services **Role Summary:** 10‑month maternity cover for a senior procurement partner in a large UK NHS Trust. Leads strategic sourcing, contract management and stakeholder engagement across corporate categories (IT, Estates & Facilities, Finance, HR). Drives value, compliance with NHS and public procurement regulations, and commercial/ sustainability innovation. **Expectations:** - Deliver procurement solutions that align with Trust strategic goals. - Maintain full compliance with NHS procurement frameworks and public sector regulations. - Influence sustainability, social value and commercial innovation in all procurement activities. - Provide expert advice on complex procurement projects and supplier negotiations. - Build and sustain effective relationships with senior stakeholders and internal teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead end‑to‑end sourcing and contract management for IT, Estates & Facilities, Finance, HR and other corporate categories. - Analyse spend, identify savings opportunities and develop procurement strategies. - Negotiate and manage contracts ensuring key performance indicators and commercial terms. - Monitor supplier performance, risk, and compliance with NHS standards. - Advise on complex procurement projects, market developments, and emerging sourcing solutions. - Champion sustainability, social value and innovation across the supply chain. **Required Skills:** - Extensive experience in strategic procurement (10+ years, healthcare or public sector experience preferred). - Deep knowledge of corporate/non‑clinical procurement categories. - Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills. - Analytical mindset, proactive problem‑solving and collaborative working style. - Familiarity with NHS procurement regulations, public procurement law, and sustainability frameworks. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree (e.g., Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance or related field). - MCIPS qualification or ongoing pursuit of MCIPS. - Relevant procurement/coursework demonstrating advanced procurement knowledge is an asset.
