**Job Title** Software Component Migration to API/REST **Role Summary** Assist in migrating legacy component modules from RMI to RESTful APIs within a large enterprise software system. Analyze existing communication protocols between Java components, redesign them using REST principles, and define new API contracts while preserving business logic. Work collaboratively with a project team, participating from analysis to implementation. **Expectations** - Graduate level education (Bachelor+5) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field. - Strong technical curiosity, autonomy, and excellent communication skills. - Capacity to learn new technologies quickly and apply them in practice. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Refactor at least one utility module to replace RMI calls with Arcsys REST APIs. 2. Analyze the current RMI-based communication between the engine and application agent. 3. Design and implement the REST equivalents, including API specifications from scratch. 4. Map and preserve business logic in the new API design. 5. Collaborate with teammates using Java, REST, Git, and (if applicable) RMI. 6. Participate in all development phases: study, design, coding, testing, and customization. **Required Skills** - Proficient in Java and RESTful service development. - Experience with API design, documentation, and best practices. - Basic understanding of RMI concepts (desirable but not mandatory). - Git version control fundamentals. - Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Strong problem‑solving, independent work style, and clear communication. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor‑plus‑five (Bac+5) degree from an engineering school or university in computer science, software development, or equivalent. - No mandatory certifications, though knowledge of REST API standards or Java EE is a plus.
