Job Description
**Job Title:** People Operations Manager – France **Role Summary:** A contract‑based People Operations Manager responsible for delivering all core HR services in France. Acts as the primary point of contact for employee and manager inquiries, ensures local HR compliance, and provides training and support to the P&C team. **Expectations:** - 9‑month fixed term, 3–4 days per week - Work closely with the Cluster Lead, Legal team, and internal communications - Maintain compliance with French labour law and works council (CSE) requirements - Deliver high‑quality, clear communication of policies and procedures - Drive continuous improvement of HR processes and compliance standards **Key Responsibilities:** 1. **Employee & Manager Support** - Serve as first‑line contact for all France‑specific HR inquiries - Resolve complex matters independently or refer to Cluster Lead or Legal team - Collaborate with Legal to manage employee relations and CSE obligations - Ensure policies and procedures are aligned with global standards and local legislation 2. **Internal Communications** - Partner with Internal Communications to prepare and deliver P&C announcements in French 3. **Training & Upskilling** - Coach the P&C team on French labour law, employee relations, and CSE processes - Design and deliver targeted training programs for the P&C staff 4. **Policy Compliance & Development** - Review and update France‑specific policies to ensure fairness, clarity, and regulatory compliance - Monitor changes in French HR legislation and adjust policies accordingly **Required Skills:** - In‑depth knowledge of French labour law and works council (CSE) regulations - Proven experience handling employee relations and HR compliance in France - Strong communication skills in French (both written and verbal) - Ability to train and upskill team members on complex HR topics - Excellent organizational and project management capability - Collaborative, team‑oriented mindset with a proactive problem‑solving approach **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business, or related field - Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM‑CP, CIPD, or French equivalent) is preferred ---
