Business Controller
**Role Summary**
Provide strategic financial leadership, driving accurate forecasting, performance analysis, and reporting to support decision‑making for a high‑growth Belgian financial services firm. Act as a key liaison between Finance Manager, CFO, and operational teams, ensuring alignment of financial objectives with business strategy in a bilingual, fast‑paced environment.
**Expectations**
- Deliver high‑quality, timely financial reports and insights to senior management and institutional stakeholders.
- Influence strategy through robust financial modeling, ROI assessment, and cost‑efficiency recommendations.
- Enhance and maintain financial systems, processes, and controls, ensuring regulatory compliance.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Construct detailed financial projections, scenarios, and business cases to guide strategic decisions.
- Translate financial data into actionable improvements for OPEX and CAPEX management.
- Monitor investment performance, evaluate ROI, and recommend adjustments.
- Produce clear, reliable management and stakeholder reporting; challenge variances and host review meetings.
- Support cash‑flow forecasting, working capital management, and billing/payment cycle optimization.
- Collaborate on ERP and BI tool implementation; refine procedures and maintain internal controls.
- Promote a culture of financial accountability and cost discipline across teams.
**Required Skills**

- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- 2–5 years experience in controlling, FP&A, audit, or business analysis.
- Advanced financial modeling, investment evaluation, and cost‑analysis expertise.
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros).
- Experience with Power BI, DAX, Power Query or data‑modeling tools.
- Knowledge of Belgian accounting standards and regulated environments advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Dutch a strong advantage.
