Job title: Senior Implementation Consultant
Role Summary:
Senior Implementation Consultant leads end‑to‑end deployments of accounting automation solutions for mid‑market and enterprise clients, combining deep product knowledge with business‑process expertise to deliver projects on time, within scope, and to client satisfaction.
Expectations:
- Deliver large‑scale implementations across multiple sectors, managing budget, scope, and schedule.
- Act as trusted advisor, translating business requirements into functional configurations and testing.
- Mentor and coach junior consultants, fostering high‑performance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables; maintain comprehensive documentation (billable hours, Salesforce notes, expense management).
- Drive implementation milestones, monitor progress, and proactively resolve risks and issues.
- Conduct business‑requirements workshops, produce functional specifications, and validate solutions through testing.
- Build and maintain executive‑level client relationships; ensure post‑delivery transition and ongoing support.
- Provide strategic and operational recommendations based on analysis of client needs.
- Lead knowledge transfer, training, and best‑practice adoption for client teams.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years in consulting/professional services with a focus on enterprise software implementation.
- At least 2 years of hands‑on experience with BlackLine or equivalent financial close solutions.
- Strong project management, multi‑tasking, and time‑management skills in a high‑revenue environment.
- Proficiency in installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and support of SaaS applications.
- Business analysis experience: requirements gathering, documentation, and solution design.
- Knowledge of accounting processes (month‑end close, audit, financial reporting) and accounting terminology.
- Effective communication, presentation, negotiation, conflict resolution, and client‑relationship skills.
- Competency with MS Office, MS Project, Salesforce/CRM systems, and accounting software.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience).
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CBAP, or similar project/business analysis credentials) are desirable but not mandatory.
