**Job Title** Legal Counsel **Role Summary** Provide strategic, commercially‑driven legal support in an international technology firm. Act as the primary legal advisor for EMEA operations, working closely with senior leadership and external counsel to mitigate risk, draft and negotiate commercial agreements, and ensure corporate governance and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. **Expectations** * Deliver clear, actionable legal advice that aligns with business objectives. * Demonstrate commercial judgment, identifying risks and proposing pragmatic solutions. * Manage competing priorities autonomously in a fast‑paced, scaling environment. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts (software licenses, reseller, outsourcing, hosting, collaboration agreements). 2. Provide EMEA‑focused legal guidance on strategic risks, mitigations, and process improvements. 3. Assess and mitigate compliance and reputational risks, including anti‑bribery, corruption, data privacy, and regulatory matters. 4. Support corporate governance, secretarial matters, and wider corporate compliance initiatives. 5. Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and external counsel across multiple jurisdictions. 6. Translate complex legal issues into concise, stakeholder‑friendly summaries. **Required Skills** * Qualified lawyer with 3+ years of post‑qualification experience (in‑house or private practice). * Strong commercial acumen and clear communication (written & verbal). * Expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts internationally. * Experience managing third‑party engagements and partnerships. * Ability to navigate multiple legal frameworks and cultural environments. * Detail‑oriented with a solution‑oriented mindset. **Required Education & Certifications** * Law degree (e.g., LLB, JD, or equivalent). * Qualified called to the bar or admitted to practice in a relevant jurisdiction. * Ongoing professional development in corporate law, compliance, or related fields is advantageous.
