Job Title: Retail Technology Leader (Principal Enterprise Architect)
Role Summary: Lead end‑to‑end technology strategy and transformation for retail clients, defining vision, roadmaps, and delivering large‑scale modernisation initiatives across commerce, supply chain, merchandising, marketing, and customer experience.
Expectations: Deliver measurable business value through cloud migration, headless commerce, API‑first architectures, microservices, and AI/ML integration; advise C‑suite leaders; maintain strong client relationships; act as a thought leader; support business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own technology vision and transformation roadmap aligned with retail business goals.
- Serve as strategic advisor to C‑level executives across commerce, supply chain, merchandising, marketing, and CX.
- Assess current architectures and design future‑state solutions using cloud‑native, composable commerce, and AI technologies.
- Lead cloud migration, headless commerce adoption, API‑first, and microservices transformation programs.
- Champion agile, product‑centric operating models for technology teams.
- Identify and embed AI/ML opportunities (demand forecasting, personalization, pricing optimization, customer insights).
- Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and collaborate with solution architects, delivery leads, product managers, and engineering teams.
- Represent the organization at industry forums, events, and executive briefings.
- Contribute to business development through workshops, proposals, and innovation initiatives.
Required Skills
- 15+ years of technology leadership with a strong retail/consumer focus.
- Proven record of leading digital and AI‑driven transformations for large retailers (online, omnichannel, or traditional).
- In‑depth knowledge of eCommerce platforms (Fluent, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce, Shopify Plus), order management, POS, ERP, CRM, loyalty systems.
- Expertise in cloud‑native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, APIs, DevOps, and data platforms.
- Experience with AI/ML retail use cases and awareness of GenAI advancements.
- Strong agile delivery, product management, and enterprise architecture capabilities.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and C‑suite influencing skills.
- Commercial acumen and ability to balance strategic vision with delivery pragmatism.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure Solutions Architect), TOGAF, or SAFe are preferred.
