Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior Cloud/Backend Software Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and maintain robust, secure, and scalable cloud architectures and services for IoT products. Lead technical decisions, mentor junior engineers, and ensure high‑performance, reliable solutions in an Azure‑based environment. **Expectations:** - 8‑12 years of experience in cloud development and distributed systems. - Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and deliver innovative solutions. - Strong technical leadership and mentoring skills. - Fluent in French and English (both written and spoken). **Key Responsibilities:** - Architect, implement, and maintain high‑performance, secure cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure (Container Apps, Azure services). - Develop scalable backend services using PHP and Node.js. - Design and manage data storage with MongoDB and messaging pipelines with Kafka. - Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents and performance issues. - Participate in architectural reviews and influence long‑term technical strategy. - Mentor and guide less‑experienced developers, fostering a collaborative engineering culture. **Required Skills:** - Cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure (Container Apps, related services). - Programming languages: PHP, Node.js. - Databases: MongoDB. - Messaging/Streaming: Apache Kafka. - Security and performance best practices for cloud environments. - Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication abilities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Developer) are a plus.
