**Job Title**
ServiceNow Developer (CMDB SME)
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, governance, and continual improvement of ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring data integrity, alignment with ITIL practices, and comprehensive service visibility across multi‑region environments.
**Expectations**
* 7+ years of ServiceNow development and CMDB expertise.
* Demonstrated success in leading technical teams and steering CMDB strategy.
* Proficiency with scripting, discovery, and service mapping.
* Strong stakeholder engagement across infrastructure, application, and service domains.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Define CMDB strategy, roadmap, and standards.
- Establish and enforce governance frameworks, policies, and processes.
- Align CMDB operations with ITIL Configuration Management.
- Drive data quality initiatives (completeness, correctness, uniqueness, relationship accuracy).
- Approve and monitor CI reconciliation, normalization, and deduplication.
- Oversee CI classification, identification rules, and discovery patterns.
- Validate and optimize discovery and service‑mapping patterns for end‑to‑end visibility.
- Coordinate with Discovery, Service Mapping, and MID Server teams.
- Lead CMDB analysts, data quality specialists, and pattern developers.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and service owners for CI validation.
- Provide CMDB health reports, KPIs, dashboards, and improvement insights to leadership.
- Recommend enhancements to boost CMDB adoption and accuracy.
**Required Skills**
- Deep hands‑on expertise in ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, and IRE.
- Strong knowledge of CI classification, identification patterns, and reconciliation logic.
- Solid understanding of ITIL Configuration, Change, and Incident Management.
- Proven leadership of CMDB or ServiceNow technical teams.
- Advanced scripting (GlideScript, Business Rules, Script Includes).
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Experience in multi‑instance or multi‑region ServiceNow environments.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – CMDB (required).
- Additional ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Application Developer) considered a plus.
