Job Description
**Job title:** Software Engineer (C#) **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and maintain backend services using C# and .NET within a cloud‑native, event‑driven architecture. Own features from concept through deployment, collaborating with product, design, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable, resilient solutions. **Expactations:** - Deliver high‑quality code on time within an agile environment. - Own end‑to‑end responsibility of features or components. - Actively participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous process improvement. - Stay current with modern .NET practices, cloud native patterns, and industry trends. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build and maintain REST APIs and microservices in C#/.NET. - Design and implement asynchronous, event‑driven interactions using AWS Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, and DocumentDB. - Develop database schemas and queries for SQL Server and DynamoDB. - Deploy and manage infrastructure with Terraform and SST (IaC). - Work with product and UX teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications. - Contribute to architecture decisions, ensuring resilience, performance, and scalability. - Mentor peers, provide constructive feedback, and share knowledge. **Required Skills:** - Proven experience in C# and .NET Core/Framework. - Strong understanding of RESTful API design and Domain‑Driven Design. - Hands‑on experience with serverless AWS services (Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, DynamoDB/DocumentDB). - Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL query optimisation. - Knowledge of Terraform, SST or similar IaC tools. - Experience building distributed, event‑driven systems. - Excellent problem‑solving, debugging, and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical experience. - AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate) are a plus.
