Job Title: Strategic Accounts Manager Role Summary: Lead and develop a high‑performing sales team to achieve sustainable and profitable growth across a portfolio of national accounts. Execute and continuously refine a national accounts sales strategy that supports overall business objectives, while embedding the customer value proposition into all interactions and fostering long‑term strategic partnerships. Expactations: - Drive sales, margin, and profitability targets for assigned accounts. - Develop and maintain comprehensive account plans with a focus on strategic relationships, category expansion, and revenue growth. - Negotiate commercial terms, support contract renewals, and ensure adherence to agreed conditions. - Monitor P&L performance, identify cost‑avoidance opportunities, and deliver quarterly business reviews. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (category management, legal, operations, suppliers) to deliver superior customer service and process innovation. Key Responsibilities: - Lead, coach, and build a high‑performing national accounts sales team. - Design and implement clear sales strategies that enable the team to meet or exceed targets. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement and positive change within the team. - Create robust account plans, conduct quarterly business reviews, and sustain long‑term strategic relationships. - Negotiate and finalize commercial terms for new and existing contracts, coordinating with legal and supplier partners. - Identify and execute category expansion and exclusive brand opportunities. - Manage P&L for all portfolio accounts, focusing on margin enhancement and cost optimization. - Ensure contractual obligations are met and customer satisfaction remains a priority. - Maintain active collaboration with operational teams to align support with account needs. - Keep abreast of market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.
