**Job Title:** DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary:**
A DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and maintain automated infrastructure and deployment pipelines for multi‑tier applications running on Kubernetes and AWS. The role emphasizes continuous integration/continuous delivery, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, and close collaboration with software, testing, and operations teams to ensure high availability and performance of internal and external services.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver reliable, scalable cloud infrastructure and deployments that meet performance and security standards.
- Continuously improve DevOps processes, tooling, and automation to reduce manual effort and accelerate release cycles.
- Communicate clearly with cross‑functional teams and provide technical guidance on architecture, observability, and process improvements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub Actions, or similar).
- Implement automated provisioning and scaling of AWS resources (EC2, S3, EKS, Lambda, etc.) using Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Manage containerized workloads on Kubernetes, including Dockerfile creation, Docker Compose, and deployment manifests.
- Configure and maintain observability and monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK stack).
- Collaborate with engineering on architecture decisions, service mesh, and observability practices.
- Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and refine deployment processes.
**Required Skills:**
- 2–4 years of DevOps experience supporting multi‑tier applications.
- 2–3 years of AWS infrastructure engineering (EC2, S3, EKS, Lambda).
- Proficient in Python or Go; ability to write and maintain automation scripts.
- Hands‑on experience with Terraform (preferred) and other IaC tools.
- Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration fundamentals.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines; GitLab CI preferred.
- Solid understanding of cloud security, networking, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
**Nice to Have (Optional):**
- Experience with Kubernetes Service Mesh (Istio, Linkerd).
- Familiarity with ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, Argo Rollouts, or Kargo.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or Certified Associate, Terraform Associate, or comparable cloud/automation certification is highly desirable.
