Job title: Senior Technical Project Manager – Healthcare Interoperability
Role Summary:
Lead end-to-end integration projects for an AI-powered cardiac monitoring platform, bridging hospital IT systems and clinical workflows. Drive HL7/FHIR interface design, stakeholder coordination, and deployment across multiple sites with a focus on improving patient outcomes.
Expectations:
- Deliver complex, multi-site EHR integrations on schedule and within scope.
- Own projects from discovery through go‑live, ensuring functional quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Act as a technical liaison between vendors, clinical teams, and internal development groups in a remote environment.
- Maintain high standards of documentation, risk management, and compliance with healthcare data interoperability standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage integration projects, including planning, resource allocation, and progress monitoring.
- Design, develop, and test HL7 and FHIR interfaces, API endpoints, and integration engine configurations (e.g., Mirth).
- Coordinate with hospital stakeholders, EHR vendors, and technical teams to define requirements and resolve integration challenges.
- Oversee multi-site deployments, ensuring consistency, data integrity, and system uptime.
- Lead cross-functional meetings, provide status updates, and address project risks and escalations.
- Document project artifacts, process flows, and integration specifications.
- Collaborate with quality assurance to validate data exchange and performance metrics.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience leading healthcare IT, interoperability, or EHR integration projects.
- Deep knowledge of HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, and API integration practices.
- Proficiency with integration engines such as Mirth Connect or equivalent.
- Strong stakeholder management and vendor coordination abilities.
- Experience deploying multi-site healthcare IT solutions.
- Self‑directed, organized, and capable of managing work independently in a remote setting.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and project documentation skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Nursing Informatics, or related field.
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) preferred.
- Certifications in HL7/FHIR or related interoperability standards are an advantage.
