Job title: Quant Developer Role Summary: 6‑month contract focused on migrating and translating credit risk models from R to Python within a regulated banking environment. Expectations: Deliver clean, well‑structured, fully tested Python code, collaborate closely with the QA Credit Banking Book Team, and provide analytical review throughout the migration process. Key Responsibilities: - Own end‑to‑end migration and translation of quantitative models from R to Python. - Design robust, modular code architecture that supports rapid adaptation to new business requests. - Resolve complex development challenges, producing superior coding solutions when direct translation is not feasible. - Deliver fully documented, unit‑tested Python implementation aligned with internal standards. - Collaborate with developers and model owners to ensure consistent model logic and maintainability. - Participate in code reviews, contributing critical analysis to improve model quality. - Maintain traceability of changes and support regulatory reporting requirements.
