**Job Title:** VP Marketing
**Role Summary:**
Lead global marketing strategy for a SaaS Conversational Commerce platform powered by AI. Own positioning, narrative, and go‑to‑market (GTM) execution across SMB, mid‑market, and enterprise segments. Drive adoption, expansion, and category leadership while managing a 19‑person marketing organization (4 direct reports).
**Expectations:**
- Deliver a differentiated product narrative that achieves category leadership and drives revenue growth.
- Partner with Product, Sales, Demand Generation, Marketing Ops, and Executive teams to align go‑to‑market plans.
- Establish clear metrics and frameworks to measure awareness, consideration, and adoption.
- Scale marketing operations globally with data‑driven decision making and iterative execution.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Define and evolve positioning & messaging for the Conversational Commerce product portfolio.
- Translate product innovation into compelling market stories for merchants and prospects.
- Champion brand storytelling through content, white papers, case studies, and thought‑leadership pieces.
- Build and maintain a content engine that powers enablement, storytelling, and sales collateral.
- Lead GTM acceleration: plan and execute >100 events annually, including flagship customer conferences.
- Collaborate with Demand Generation and Sales to create targeted playbooks for each market segment.
- Drive adoption and expansion in SMB, mid‑market, and enterprise merchants.
- Define metrics and frameworks to track awareness, consideration, and adoption across the funnel.
- Oversee cross‑functional projects (product launches, pricing strategies, channel programs).
- Manage direct reports (Director Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Marketing Ops) and mentor the broader marketing team.
**Required Skills:**
- 10+ years of marketing leadership in SaaS or high‑growth technology companies.
- Proven experience in product marketing, GTM strategy, and category creation.
- Deep understanding of ecommerce, customer engagement, and conversational AI concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technology into clear, customer‑centric messaging.
- Strong storytelling, content creation, and thought‑leadership skills.
- Data‑driven mindset: proficiency in defining KPIs, measuring campaign performance, and iterating strategies.
- Cross‑functional leadership and partnership with Product, Sales, Demand Generation, and Ops.
- Global collaboration: comfort working across time zones and cultures.
- Strong communication, influence, and empathy to champion the brand internally and externally.
- Event strategy and execution experience (virtual & in‑person).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- MBA or advanced business qualification preferred.
- Relevant product marketing or digital marketing certifications (e.g., AIPMM, HubSpot, Google Analytics) are a plus.
