Job Description
**Job Title:** Senior Accounting Technician – Regional Finance Support **Role Summary:** Provide technical accounting and financial support for Regional Financial Controller, maintaining accurate records, facilitating reporting, and coordinating across departments. **Expectations:** - 6-month contract with potential for full-time transition - Bilingual English/French communication (written/verbal) required **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments - Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes - Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies - Assist with financial reporting, analysis, and audit support - Collaborate with operations, payroll, AP/AR, and finance teams - Utilize advanced Excel for data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting **Required Skills:** - Bilingual (English/French) with strong written/verbal communication - Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, automation) - ERP system experience (PeopleSoft preferred) - FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) experience - Attention to detail under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Time management and multitasking for multiple priorities - Professional judgment, confidentiality, and independent problem-solving **Required Education & Certifications:** - Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - 2–5 years’ experience in complex corporate environments - None specified (certifications non-essential per description)
