**Job Title**
Deputy Head of Marketing & Communications
**Role Summary**
Lead and develop Saab UK’s marketing and communications function, aligning all activities with business development and sales objectives. Provide strategic oversight, manage the CRM system, functional budget, and performance reporting, and deputise for the Vice President of Business Development and Sales.
**Expectations**

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, talent development, and cross‑functional collaboration.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead, coach, and motivate the marketing & communications team to meet quality, timing, and impact targets.
- Represent the function at internal and external meetings, stepping in for the Vice President when required.
- Own the creation, execution, and measurement of the UK marketing & communications strategy, ensuring consistency with global messaging.
- Manage brand reputation, media relations, digital presence, and internal communication programs.
- Coordinate exhibitions, trade shows, and industry events.
- Partner with Business Development and Sales to align marketing initiatives with sales strategies, provide bid support, and gather market intelligence.
- Oversee the CRM system – data accuracy, usability, compliance, and analytics.
- Produce monthly and annual performance reports, analyse KPIs, and advise senior management on improvement actions.
- Administer the functional budget, forecast spend, and handle procurement and supplier relationships within policy frameworks.
**Required Skills**
- Senior leadership experience in marketing, communications, or sales support roles (ideally in defence, aerospace or technology).
- Proven budget management, performance reporting, and analytics skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influence at all organisational levels.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication.
- Team management and talent development capabilities.
- Knowledge of CRM systems, marketing analytics, and digital marketing tools.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field (Master’s or professional qualification, e.g., CPA, CMA, or equivalent, preferred).
