Job Description
**Job Title** Graduate Business Development Executive **Role Summary** A recent graduate in life sciences, economics or a related field will drive sales of consultancy services across the UK, US and Europe. The role involves prospecting, cold‑calling, client visits, preparing and delivering presentations, and advising clients on forecasting and pricing for pharmaceuticals. **Expectations** - Deliver on quarterly sales targets and business‑development goals. - Continuously update industry knowledge and develop expertise in pharmaceutical sales. - Build and maintain relationships with key decision‑makers in pharma organizations. - Demonstrate resilience, optimism and strong organisational skills when managing multiple priorities. **Key Responsibilities** - Identify and engage new prospects through research, cold‑calling and networking. - Conduct client visits and presentations to communicate complex topics and solutions. - Advise clients on forecasting, pricing and market positioning for pharmaceuticals. - Prepare reports, proposals and sales forecasts for internal and client use. - Maintain up‑to‑date activity in the CRM system and provide regular sales activity reports. - Represent the company at industry events and conferences as required. - Travel across the UK and overseas to support client relationships and sales objectives. **Required Skills** - Strong verbal and written communication, able to explain complex ideas clearly. - Effective listening and questioning to uncover client needs. - Excellent negotiation, presentation and persuasion abilities. - High numeracy, analytical thinking and proficiency in Excel (spreadsheet modelling). - Self‑motivated, resilient, optimistic and proactive with problem‑solving skills. - Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, able to manage multiple priorities. - Comfortable with travel, including short‑term and longer trips, and holds a valid driver’s licence with personal transport. **Required Education & Certifications** - 2:1 or higher degree in Life Sciences, Economics, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, or a closely related discipline. - Demonstrated interest and knowledge of the pharmaceutical and life‑science market.
