Job Description

**Job title** Fractional Chief Technology Officer **Role Summary** Provide part‑time (2‑3 days per week) strategic and operational technology leadership for a mid‑stage company transitioning to a SaaS model. Work closely with executive leadership to align the technology roadmap with business priorities, oversee multiple project streams, and drive delivery excellence while mentoring internal and nearshore teams. **Expectations** - Deliver full technology ownership for 5–6 concurrent project streams and ongoing operations. - Actively engage with CEO, CCO, and Head of Technology to shape and execute a technology strategy that supports SaaS transition. - Manage a 6‑month engagement with potential transition to full‑time. **Key Responsibilities** - Collaborate with senior leaders to align technology road‑map with business goals. - Own and oversee technology across the business, including project planning, execution, and business‑as‑usual activities. - Conduct a comprehensive review of existing infrastructure, recommending and implementing changes to support SaaS scalability and long‑term objectives. - Establish and refine delivery structures, processes, and development discipline, including agile practices and sprint management. - Lead, mentor, and coach internal staff and nearshore teams, ensuring technical excellence and professional growth. - Provide hands‑on delivery oversight while contributing strategic guidance on technology direction and architecture. - Foster stakeholder engagement, communicating progress, risks, and solutions to executive and cross‑functional teams. **Required Skills** - Proven experience as a CTO, VP Engineering, or equivalent senior technology leadership role. - Strong engineering background with expertise in cloud/SaaS architecture, infrastructure modernization, and scalable system design. - Deep knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and delivery process improvement. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent project streams and deliver on time, within scope, and budget. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills. - Adaptability to part‑time engagement while maintaining accountability and impact. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, SAFe Program Consultant, PMP, or equivalent) preferred.
