Job Title: AWS Application Developer – TypeScript (Serverless)
Role Summary: Build and operate production‑grade, event‑driven services on AWS using TypeScript. Design, code, test, deploy, and maintain AWS Lambda functions, EventBridge event buses, Kinesis streams, DynamoDB tables, and S3 buckets. Engage with enterprise architects on architecture, security, and scaling.
Expectations: Deliver high‑quality, well‑tested serverless code on schedule. Maintain observability, resilience, and performance across all services. Collaborate in architecture sessions and communicate technical decisions to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy TypeScript‑based AWS services (Lambda, EventBridge, Kinesis, DynamoDB, S3).
- Implement event‑driven integrations: routing, filtering, replay/error handling on EventBridge.
- Build stream processing pipelines: consumer patterns, batching, checkpointing, scaling in Kinesis Data Streams.
- Develop robust Lambda functions: idempotency, retries, observability, performance tuning.
- Model DynamoDB schemas: partition/sort keys, GSIs, TTL, conditional writes.
- Integrate S3 for object storage, lifecycle policies, encryption, and presigned URLs.
- Create APIs with API Gateway; orchestrate async workflows using SQS, SNS, EventBridge.
- Write unit and integration tests (Jest), use LocalStack for local emulation.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and code quality standards.
- Produce architecture artefacts (diagrams, estimates) and support proposal drafting.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects and senior stakeholders to align designs with governance.
Required Skills
- Strong TypeScript (Node.js runtime) development experience.
- Hands‑on AWS Lambda, EventBridge, Kinesis Data Streams, DynamoDB, and S3.
- API Gateway and infrastructure as code (CloudFormation or AWS CDK).
- Cloud architecture best practices; secure design and troubleshooting.
- Unit/integration testing and CI/CD pipeline proficiency.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (preferred).
