Job Description
**Job title**: External Repairers Quality Manager (F/M) **Role Summary**: Lead the definition, deployment, and continuous improvement of Airbus Helicopters’ quality policy for external repairers, ensuring compliance with EN 9100, EASA Part‑145, and other aviation standards. Serve as the main quality liaison between Airbus and external repair contractors, conducting audits, managing non‑conformities, and supporting technical issues to maintain safety and reliability of helicopter components. **Expactations**: * Full responsibility for quality oversight of all external repair partners. * Regular travel within France and internationally for site visits and audits. * Collaboration with Purchasing, Business, Program, and Supplier teams to drive performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. **Key Responsibilities**: - Define and implement the quality policy for external repairers in line with Airbus and regulatory requirements. - Design and execute recurring audit plans, assess contractor compliance, and report findings. - Identify, analyze, and document non‑conformances, root causes, and discrepancies; enforce corrective and preventive actions. - Provide on‑site and remote quality support to repairers during technical issues or quality incidents. - Lead supplier selection and qualification, evaluating potential repairers against quality standards. - Facilitate quality performance reviews with cross‑functional stakeholders and recommend improvement actions. - Monitor regulatory and normative developments in aviation quality; update related documentation. - Author and maintain procedures, work instructions, and quality documents for external repair management. - Promote a quality‑centric culture across Airbus and its partner network. **Required Skills**: - Minimum 5 years experience in quality management, preferably in aerospace or high‑quality industrial environment. - Proven experience managing suppliers or outsourced service providers. - In‑depth knowledge of EN 9100, EASA Part‑145, and related aviation quality standards. - Proficiency with quality tools and methodologies (audit, FMEA, 8‑D, PDCA). - Strong analytical skills, data interpretation, and problem‑solving capability. - Excellent written and verbal communication in French and technical English. - Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams and across geographies. - Critical thinking and continuous improvement mindset. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Aerospace, or related field. - Relevant quality certifications (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ASQ CQE) highly regarded but not mandatory.
